London's Warp signees Jockstrap create strange electronic music, backed with a knowledge of classical and jazz. Following their EP Wicked City which landed earlier this year, they've just released their 2nd EP on the label, Beavercore, featuring re-works of previous tracks. 'niños y Niñas TaylorBASSMIX ft. ELSAS' is one of the new creations on the EP. As if giving a speech in a huge hall, ELSAS' reverb-drenched Spanish speech opens the song, one line repeating throughout: "me soprendo mi misma...si feliz" (I surprise myself if I'm happy). Warped in reverse, vocals are followed by the industrial, and increasingly vigorous beat, whilst the melancholic melody is made up of vocal snippets and buzzy synthesiser.
